About Undergrove
Most scholarship sites are databases. We think what you actually need is somebody willing to say what they don't know.
A real card from our library
Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke Academic Scholarships
Unconfirmed detailsWe found this one. We haven't read the page closely enough to confirm the amount or deadline yet, so the card says that, plainly, instead of guessing.
Check the source yourself →That label costs us something — a card that admits it isn't sure looks less impressive than one that fakes confidence. We show it anyway, on every row where it's true.
We go looking where a national aggregator doesn't reach — local news, community foundations, employers, professional societies. The AAMI Foundation Michael J. Miller HTM Scholarship Program ($3,000) is one: a limited group can apply for this one.
We rank by relevance and eligibility, not by which award has the biggest headline. Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication Scholarships is only open to a narrow group — we still show it, ranked last, labeled clearly, rather than quietly leaving it out.
Undergrove also drafts essays for the scholarships you're applying to. It never submits anything on your behalf — you review, edit, and send every word yourself.
Where AI is involved
Undergrove is powered by AI. We use it to search for scholarships that aren't well covered by the large listing sites, to read award pages and pull out the details, and to rank results by relevance and eligibility. Our essay drafting tool is an AI writing tool.
You're interacting with software, not a person. Nobody here reads your profile or writes your drafts. When you email us, a person does read that.
AI gets things wrong, so we built Undergrove to tell you when it doesn't know. If we haven't confirmed a scholarship's requirements, it says "Not verified." If we're estimating when an award reopens, we say the date is our estimate rather than the provider's. Always check the provider's own page before you apply.
